Tumaini Bethany Children’s Home is a faith-based ministry of PCEA Nakuru West Parish, established in June 2005 through the love and vision of the PCEA Suburb Church Woman’s Guild.
The Guild’s ministry to local children’s homes opened their eyes to the growing number of orphans and vulnerable children in Nakuru who lacked care and opportunity.
Moved by compassion, the church began by renting a small house to care for three children, which soon grew to twelve and then twenty-four by the end of that same year.
In January 2007, with the support of mission partners from the Beech Foundation (USA) and other well-wishers, the church purchased a 30-acre piece of land and built a permanent home — the foundation of what is now Tumaini Bethany.
Today, Tumaini cares for 99 children, with a goal to reach 400.
Our ministry is driven by the belief that every child deserves love, dignity, and a future filled with hope in Christ.
We believe every child deserves love, belonging, and the opportunity to flourish. Through Christ-centered programs that feed, educate, and empower, Tumaini restores dignity and hope to those once forgotten.
We extend Christ’s love through care, mentorship, and spiritual guidance, reminding every child they are seen and loved.
Partnering with churches, donors, and friends, we create long-lasting change through compassion in action.
From education to life skills and faith formation, we prepare children to thrive as responsible, God-fearing adults.
